You have chosen the microwaveable method of cooking so the meal will take just under 10 minutes to cook; by allowing a little preplanning time it will ensure you enjoy your organic food experience to the max! The cooking can be equally enjoyable if shared between the two of you.
Check list: Have a sharp knife and board ready for carving.
Open your wine of choice and have 2 large plates warm and ready to go.
Open your wonderful organic meal box and take a look at what’s inside:- You have two lamb steaks – marinated in garlic and rosemary. Fresh cabbage, crushed red skin potato with olives and a Balsamic and red onion sauce.
Preheat a griddle or frying pan for a minute or two. Add a little oil and wait a second for it to get hot. You may wish to add a little salt to the lamb steaks if you prefer. The steaks will take about 1 and a half to two minutes on each side.
Whilst they are cooking place the crushed potatoes into a microwavable bowl, cover and cook on full power for 2 minutes, give them a stir, and then continue to cook for a further 2 minutes until piping hot.
Remove the lamb from the pan and allow to ‘relax’ on a plate or tray.
Whilst they are resting heat the Balsamic and red onion sauce in the microwave, remove and leave to stand whilst cooking the cabbage in its purpose designed microwaveable bag.
Check: Now you should have the following all hot- Cooked rested lamb steaks, Cooked cabbage, crushed potatoes and Balsamic and red onion sauce.
On your two warm plates…….. With a large spoon, divide the crushed potatoes and form a mound in the middle of the plate.
Now add the cabbage on top of and around the crush.
Carve the lamb, slicing at an angle of 45 degrees or keep in one piece. Place the lamb across the potato crush.
Using a spoon pour on the sauce – around the plate and across the lamb.
Now enjoy!
